I
got to meet Arlo Guthrie by chance after
a great show he did at the Symphony
Hall in Boston. We hung out in front
of the venue for a while after the show,
just shooting the shit with some friends
when someone came up to us and said
Arlo was hanging out by the side entrance.
Sure enough when we went over, there
he was. He seemed a little tired but
was more than happy to meet us and give
us his autograph.
This was the year he revived Alice's
Restaurant, and we being in Massachusetts
and it being so close to Thanksgiving
it was inevitable that we would get
the newly revamped version of this classic
tale. |
