I was lucky enough to meet David Crosby after a solo show he did at the Orpheum on 4/6/89. I had just finished reading his biography, Long Time Gone, and was blown away by all that he had been through. I don't know if I expected to meet him or what, but I had his book with me. He and his wife came out the front door of the Orpheum not long after the show had ended and me and my friend were two of maybe 6 people hanging out. He was very friendly, he actually came up to us and asked how we liked the show. Easy answer, it was great! I told him how much I enjoyed reading his book and how glad I was that he had lived through it all. We walked with them back to his tour bus and wished them well.
